Summer 2025 Professional Development Offerings

This is the chance to read books that are related to your work and interests and earn credit for it. 

  • Teachers use a provided grid to choose books to read with reflection submitted at the end of course; the grid/requirements have changed a bit from the past Teachers Read; please view requirements linked above.
  • Runs from June 1-August 22, 2025
  • Register by June 1 - register via Google form
  • FREE for Darke County member districts; $25 for all others
  • Personal & Authentic Book Study*
    • Coursework/Discussion will be completed through Google classroom
    • Runs from June 9-August 28
    • Register by May 30  - register via Google form
    • FREE for Darke County member districts; $25 for all others
    • Participants need to secure their own copy of the text
  • Genius Hour for Educators*
    • Developed for teachers who want to design their own learning plan
    • Runs from June 1-August 22, 2025
    • Register by May 26 – register via Google form
    • FREE for Darke County member districts; $100 for all others
  • I Wish My Teacher Knew Book Study*
    • Coursework/Discussion will be completed through Google classroom
    • Runs from June 9-August 14, 2025
    • Register by May 30 - register via Google form

  • The Artificial Intelligence Playbook Book Study*
    • Coursework/Discussion will be completed through Google classroom

  • Substitute Teacher Training
    • June 9 8:30-12:30 
    • Held at Darke County ESC - 5279 Education Drive; Greenville, OH 45331
    • Free for teachers on the DCESC active sub list; $50 for all others

Paraprofessional Training - online through Ohio Learning Community
